The Story of the Alabaster Fox

There once was a silver maned fox that had secluded themselves from the world of man. At that point he was just a regular fox that had grown tired from watching mankind strive to grow in such negative ways. Eventually even as secluded as he was; the habit of mans (the urge to explore the unknown and uncharted) allowed them to stumble upon the alabaster fox. Not all the intruders were entirely clouded by sins. Every now and then a few kind and generous souls would leave offerings for the nameless fox. Although a feral creature it seemed as though the silver fox knew when malevolent events were to take place. Warning the friendly traveller's of upcoming dangers; not through the words of man, but through drawings he etched into the ground. Eventually the humans began to worship the fox. Bequething gifts and offerings to the fox in exchange for warnings. Eventually a shrine was built for the fox, one deep in the forest where he had taken refuge. As centuries passed and more and more humans came towards him; he was eventually revered as a kitsune-okami. The one secluded white fox, now revered as a kami; a god. The small alabaster fox now taking on the shape of man. Taking on the shape many see to this day, or atleast one similar.

The Fire That Breathes Life

As his power grew, so did the envy of man and those who wished for more power. The fox worried he would be unable to protect himself and his followers he learned how to harness his fox based powers. Learning how to create and manipulate flames. His mastery over flames was rather unique for his kind. Able to have complete control over the temperature, mass and color of the flames. Eventually through his mastery of the flames he was able to generate illusions so powerful it felt as if they had their own mass. Illusions so realistic they were even able to trick divines.

The Sins That Were Counted

With his realistic illusions and sharp black nails only able to do so much, the fox sought out a divine Smith. One able to create a weapon he could use to defend himself from those who wished to take advantage of his powers and foresight. Eventually finding a Smith that would be able to forge him a special scythe. One that would be able to temporarily separate the souls from their corporal body, allowing judgements to be passed on the souls based on the weight of their sins. Using this ability the alabaster vulpine judged all those who tried to abuse his powers for malovent purposes. With his newfound powers along with his foresight he would go out seeking those who he saw committing sinful actions. Going out on nightly strolls, condemning those who's sins weighed heavily. Through his actions his title if kitsune-okami became almagated with that of shinigami (a God of passing and judgement).

The Overbearing Sins

As time had gone on the constant visions ended up driving the fox slowly insane. The burden to stop the danger of the town and area surrounding his shrine, slowly becoming too overbearing for his mind to handle. Taking a dagger to one of his eyes. Slicing through it enough to damage the sight in said eye. Deep crimson blood crawling down his face. Crying out in agony as his consciousness faded out. Waking up days later with the eye damaged no longer holding it's same crimson hue. The color faded to a deep and empty black hue.

The Silent Visions and the Forgotten Fox

The visions ending as his sight in his one eye detiorated. No longer burdened by the fate bestowed originally upon him. As his visions slowly stopped so did the followers that once worshipped him and sought him out for guidance of things yet to come. As his gathering fade, so did his one lustrous nine tails. Only able to manifest two at a time with those that still stuck around. Going back to his old secluded life, his shrine being overtaken by the vegetation of the surrounding forest.

The Foolish Fox's Original Sin

The now twin tailed fox goes by many names, one of the many aliases he had adopted was the Twin-Tailed Fox born under the Arcana of the Fool. Due to his rather sporadic temperament and his rather unique ways of dealing with situations this name seemed to be the one that fit with him the best, adopting it as his own in due time. This also is hinting at his greatest sin of challenging those who's power far outreach his own using his own unique and devious methods, playing a game with each of them with rather high stakes, ending up irking out a win against each and consuming and passing judgement on their tortured souls.

The Second Piece of the Puzzle

As Weiss continued to judge the souls whose sins way heavy, he ended up growing rather lonesome and wanted to create a contingency incase something were to happen to his main body, splitting his soul asunder into two souls, granting the second and weaker half of the sundered soul a small fox like body to reside in to further prevent any dangers to himself during his "hunts" and a companion as needed. A small alabaster fox that looks like a kit version of his original self. Originally it too had nine tails, but as Weiss had gotten weaker so did the manifestation of his life. His dear animal companion losing 7 of it's original tails, leaving it with just two. A small black fox like pendant lies near one of the small fox's tail which is a small representation of the piece of Weiss' soul he holds.

🎨Elis

A small dilapidated shrine found in a snowy forest, long since lost to time. The greenery of the surrounding area fading into the shrine itself. While run down it still holds some semblance of it's once prosperous self. A simple place of worship lost to the ages of time. It's name even long since forgotten. Getting the moniker the The Lost Shrine of Fool.
